A long-term technical partner

Built to remain useful after launch day.

A website is not finished because it has gone live. It still needs to stay secure, adapt to the organisation and make sense to the people maintaining it.

Vivify deliberately takes on a limited number of substantial projects. You speak directly to the people designing and building the work, and those same people are available when the site needs to change later.

Some client relationships have lasted for more than a decade. That continuity is part of the service—not an optional support package added after the interesting work is over.

What we build

From clear public websites to systems with real work to do.

01

Business and organisational websites

Purposeful public-facing sites that make services, expertise and useful next steps easy to understand.

02

Membership and restricted content

Member accounts, permissions, private resources and the workflows needed to keep them manageable.

03

Custom workflows and integrations

Forms, databases, media handling and connections to external services when a standard page is not enough.

04

Research and campaign sites

Focused project sites that bring together reports, films, participants and practical outcomes.

Why ExpressionEngine?

A content management system that stays out of the way.

ExpressionEngine is the platform we reach for most often because it gives us control over the structure, security and editing experience without forcing every site through the same collection of themes and plugins.

Clients get an editing system designed around their content. Visitors get a website without unnecessary machinery attached to every page.

  • Structured for your contentEditing fields and relationships make sense to the people using them.
  • Fewer moving partsNo dependence on a sprawling collection of unrelated plugins.
  • Built to be maintainedA disciplined foundation for sites expected to last.
  • Flexible where it mattersSuitable for straightforward publishing and bespoke functionality.

How projects work

A clear process without agency theatre.

Enough structure to keep decisions moving. Enough flexibility to respond when the work teaches us something.

  1. 01

    Understand

Clarify the audience, content, operational requirements and the reason the project exists.

  2. 02

    Structure and design

Turn those requirements into a content model, page hierarchy and visual system before building everything.

  3. 03

    Build and test

Develop the site, connect the required systems and test the real content across devices.

  4. 04

    Launch and remain involved

Move the site into production, train the people editing it and provide hosting and ongoing support where required.

Indicative pricing

Custom websites typically start at £4,000.

Final pricing reflects the content, functionality, integrations and amount of design or technical work involved. Hosting and ongoing support are quoted separately so the continuing cost is clear.

A good fit if…

  • The website matters to the organisation
  • You want experienced input, not just implementation
  • You can provide content and timely decisions
  • You value reliability over the lowest possible quote

Practical questions

Before starting a website project.

Not every final sentence, but we do need a realistic understanding of the content before designing the structure. Content supplied late or radically changed after design approval will affect the timetable and cost.

No, but it is our first choice for many content-managed sites. We use another platform when the project provides a good reason to do so, not simply because it is fashionable.

Sometimes. We first inspect the platform, hosting, code quality and security position. If taking responsibility would create unreasonable risk, we will explain why and suggest a safer route.

Yes. Sites we build can be hosted and supported by Vivify, giving the client one experienced contact rather than separate design, development and hosting suppliers.

A smaller custom site may take a few months. Larger sites and applications take longer. The most common source of delay is not development—it is late content and delayed decisions—so the timetable is agreed with responsibilities on both sides.
